In January of 1995, Mercedes Domenech, MD, PhD, was hired as the first MD dean for the then Office of Minority Affairs. Dean Domenech serves as the Associate Director of Admission and Associate Dean of Medicine, concentrating mostly on the undergraduate years of the Program in Liberal Medical Education.
